A travèrs los eschamges epistolaris, vesem que la chausida se discutiguèt entre tres editors occitans : Lemouzi (Robert Joudoux), Oc (Bernard Manciet) e l'IEO (Jean Larzac). Pierre Desrozier, representant lo Lemosin auprès de l'IEO, emb l'ajuda de Jacques Boisgontier, farà abotir lo project - en balança pro de temps per de rasons financieras - al biais d'una soscripcion. Mas lo poeta deurà sacrifiar sa revirada en francés, « Psaumes païens », que serà editada 25 ans pus tard per Jan dau Melhau, dau Chamin de Sent Jaume, dins la version bilingüa. L'œuvre poétique Saumes pagans de Marcelle Delpastre naît à la fin des années 60, d'évènements et de rencontres propices à l'écriture en limousin : création de la revue Lemouzi par Robert Joudoux, rencontre avec le poète et médiéviste Jean Mouzat, apprentissage de la graphie classique avec le linguiste Joseph Migot. Achevée fin 1971, l'œuvre ne sera publiée qu'en 1974 par l'IEO Novelum, dans la collection Messatges. Mais le poète devra sacrifier sa traduction en français, « Psaumes païens », qui sera éditée 25 ans plus tard par Jan dau Melhau, des éditions Lo Chamin de Sent Jaume, en version bilingue.
